Trauma Healing for the Syrian Community

Marriage Counseling & Intervention in Trauma Therapy within the family

Four intensive trainings were held in Lebanon, through which we targeted two groups of people: academic specialists in the psychological field, and the group of clergy, monks and nuns, and laity people who work with families. The trainings were conducted by two PhD holders who walked us through many topics like family therapy, exposure narrative therapy, conflict between spouses and how to restore relationships, and many more.

A training for the elderly caregivers

Through this training the participants were introduced to the concept of aging, the psychological, mental and physical changes that accompany aging, and some acquired techniques to help elderly people in a better way.

Delivering God’s Word to Syrian Children

A Christmas Journey “Follow Jesus"

A Christmas Activity was organized for children and youth from ages 5 till 18 in a small village in Homs city. This was in response to the need that reached us from the village priest, who told us that the conditions of the village were not good and that not all the villagers had Bibles. CHildren enjoyed their time playing and singing and received their Chrirstmas gift from BSS.

Sunday School Teachers Training

Sunday School Teachers Formation

This training focused on three areas: Game Implementation, Theater, and Children’s Behavior. The Game workshop discussed the purpose of games in Sunday School meetings, creating games for different ages and handling challenges. The Theater workshop introduced theater types for Sunday Schools, using the Prodigal Son as an example, and highlighted theater’s benefits. The Behavior workshop addressed disruptive behaviors and how to manage them without harming the child’s personality.

Bible Conference

A gathering for Sunday School teachers from all over Syria to participate in an intensive content on the Bible. Apologetics,The sanctity of the Old and New Testaments and other essential topics were discussed during the conference.

BSS Calendar

BSS Calendar Has God finished working? Did he complete His work and observe it, and that was it? Or does He continue to labor all the time? Reflecting on this year’s BSS calendar content, we settled on the concept of a puzzle. Earthly existence comprises diverse creatures, akin to individual puzzle pieces. Their harmonious arrangement forms the complete picture—the intricate tapestry of life on our planet." For 2024 we prepared Arabic, English, and Kurdish versions of the Calendar.
